Mawari Wins the XR Kaigi 2024 Award
Awarded for Innovative Effort âMawari Network & Spatial Streaming SDKâ in the Tools & Infrastructure Technology Category
Mawari Inc. is honored to have received the prestigious XR Kaigi 2024 AWARD in the Tools & Infrastructure Technology category for its groundbreaking initiative, âMawari Network & Spatial Streaming SDKâ
The XR Kaigi AWARD was launched in 2020 to recognize outstanding efforts that significantly contribute to the popularization and advancement of XR (Extended Reality) technologies. This year, all initiatives showcased at XR Kaigi were considered for the award, with the recognition presented at an offline event.
Reason for the Award
During the award ceremony, the organizer of XR Kaigi, Shun Kubota, provided the following explanation for Mawariâs win:
"Congratulations on your award. I believe that Mawari's service has been prepared for a long time. I think Mawari's service has been prepared for a long time, and I would like to recognize their spirit to support the XR industry especially at the server level, their attitude to work hand in hand with XR device companies, and their global team including overseas while having a base in Japan, who are trying to take on big challenges not only in Japan but also in the global market. I would like to see Mawari become a global âMawariâ.
Following the announcement, Mawari's CEO, Luis Oscar Ramirez, commented:
âThis award is a significant testament to how our technology is driving innovation and progress within the XR industry. Our SDK combined with the Mawari Network -a âDePIN for Spatial Computingâ - opens a new era of spatial computing by powering a global decentralized compute infrastructure with our patented spatial streaming algorithms. We will continue to develop these technologies in collaboration with our users to support the future of XR.â
Overview of the Awarded Project
The award-winning project features Mawariâs Spatial Streaming SDK and Mawari Network, which together enable real-time streaming of 3D objects. These technologies are based on the decentralized infrastructure of DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), which underpins next-generation spatial computing. The network is maintained and expanded efficiently through the operation of critical Guardian Nodes, with a node license sale planned for the near future.
Mawari provides the Spatial Streaming SDK as the core technology for DePIN, achieving efficient data processing, real-time streaming experiences, and scalable solutions. This has opened up new possibilities for the development of the XR field.
